Spot IT issues earlier with proactive monitoring

Monitoring is useful when alerts lead to a clear action. PCFIXIT helps businesses define which systems are monitored, what needs attention and how issues move into the support process.

Connect monitoring to maintenance

We review the devices and systems in scope, then discuss health checks, update management and alert handling appropriate to the environment.

  • Identify supported endpoints and important systems.
  • Review device health, available storage and update status.
  • Agree patching arrangements and maintenance windows.
  • Define alert triage, escalation and reporting responsibilities.

Understand monitoring and helpdesk coverage

Automated checks can operate outside business hours. That does not mean every alert receives a live engineer response around the clock. Helpdesk hours, response targets and after-hours arrangements must be confirmed in the service agreement.

Build a practical improvement plan

Monitoring can highlight recurring faults, unsupported equipment and update gaps. A managed service should turn those findings into priorities for maintenance, replacement or further investigation.

Questions before you enquire

Does monitoring prevent every outage?

No. Monitoring can identify certain issues and warning signs, but not every failure can be predicted or prevented.

Is 24/7 monitoring the same as 24/7 support?

No. Monitoring frequency and staffed support hours are different. Your agreement defines the response and escalation arrangements.

Can you review our existing setup?

Yes. Share the number of staff, devices, sites and current support arrangements so we can discuss scope.
