Understand the levels
CyberCert lists five SMB1001 levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. The requirements and verification approach vary by level. Platinum and Diamond involve an external audit. Choose a target using the current standard, your risks and any customer requirements—not simply the badge you prefer.

What is the difference between SMB1001 and CyberCert?
SMB1001 is the cybersecurity standard. CyberCert provides certification against it. PCFIXIT supports preparation and agreed technical improvements.
Which certification level should we choose?
Choose a level after reviewing the current requirements, your business risks and any requirements from customers or other stakeholders. We can help you work through that discussion before committing to a scope.
What evidence should we prepare?
Start with a system inventory, account and administrator records, security settings, patching reports, backup and recovery records, and relevant staff procedures. The exact evidence depends on the current standard, target level and certification process.
Does ProactivCare automatically make us certified?
No. A managed service agreement does not confer certification. The supported environment, implemented controls, evidence and certification requirements must be considered separately.
How long does preparation take and what does it cost?
That depends on your starting position, target level, number of systems and remediation work. PCFIXIT scopes its assistance before quoting. Certification and any external audit fees must also be confirmed separately.
